BECAUSE YOUR STORY DESERVES MORE.
You’re someone carrying the weight of anxiety, depression, or painful past experiences.
You might feel trapped in cycles you can’t seem to break, struggling to find peace in your relationships or within yourself.
No matter how much you try to move forward, something keeps pulling you back. The stress is exhausting, and the loneliness that comes with it can feel overwhelming.
You’re in the right place.
AT NEXT CHAPTER COUNSELING, I BELIEVE THAT WHILE WE CAN’T CHANGE THE PAST, WE CAN CREATE A MORE FULFILLING FUTURE… ONE STEP AT A TIME.
Meet Ally
HI, I’M ALLY STEINBERG — PSYCHOTHERAPIST AND FOUNDER OF NEXT CHAPTER COUNSELING.
I work with teens, young adults, and adults who are ready to navigate change, rediscover themselves, and break free from patterns that no longer serve them. Whether you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or just ready for something new, you don’t have to figure it out alone. Therapy is a space where healing happens — and your next chapter begins.
I come to therapy as a real person first: compassionate, grounded, and yes, I bring a bit of humor too. My goal is to create a warm, supportive space where you can be your full, authentic self — seen, heard, and understood. Together, we’ll uncover what’s holding you back, build tools and insight, and move toward a life that truly fits you. I’m trained in evidence-based approaches like CBT, ACT, DBT, and Trauma-Focused Therapy. But therapy isn’t one-size-fits-all. I tailor our work to your needs, your pace, and your goals — whether that’s managing anxiety, navigating relationships, or working through life’s big transitions.

I specialize in helping folks through life changes, trauma, and identity exploration.
MANY CLIENTS COME TO THERAPY FEELING LOST OR OVERWHELMED BY EXPECTATIONS, BURNOUT, OR SELF-DOUBT.
My aim is to help you feel more grounded, confident, and in control of your story. When I’m not in session, I’m usually traveling, curled up with a good book, or hanging out with my rescue dog, Zoe, who reminds me every day of the power of presence, play, and unconditional connection.
Therapy is more than just talking. It’s about transformation. You’ve already taken a brave first step by being here. When you’re ready, I’d love to connect for a free consultation and explore how therapy can support a life that feels truly yours.
Where I Began
I started my journey at Syracuse University and continued on to Columbia University for my Master’s degree, committed to building the skills to support people through life’s toughest challenges.
Learning Through Experience
My early years as a clinician in Harlem, New York, exposed me to the full spectrum of human resilience. Supporting people through trauma, depression, and complex diagnoses taught me that healing is about meeting people exactly where they are (not one-size-fits-all solutions).
Building My Own Practice
After years in group practice, I knew I wanted to create a counseling space with personalized care. A place where clients could feel truly seen and supported. That vision became Next Chapter Counseling.
Why This Work Matters to Me
I’ve lived through my own losses and challenges, including grief and anxiety, and I know how disorienting and heavy those seasons can feel. These experiences shaped my values of empathy, acceptance, and self-care, and those are the same values that guide how I show up for every client I work with.
