How It Works
A TYPICAL COUNSELING SESSION AT NEXT CHAPTER COUNSELING IS A SPACE JUST FOR YOU: SUPPORTIVE, JUDGMENT-FREE, AND CENTERED ON WHAT MATTERS MOST IN YOUR LIFE.
Sessions are 45 minutes long and can take place in person or virtually, depending on what works best for you.
Your first session will be an intake, which is a chance for us to get to know each other and start building the foundation of our work together. I’ll ask questions about your current concerns, your history, and what you’re hoping to get out of therapy. You’ll also have time to ask any questions you may have, and we’ll talk through next steps and scheduling.
After that, sessions are conversational and collaborative. Some days might feel more reflective or emotional; others may be more focused and goal-oriented. There’s no one “right” way to do therapy — we’ll go at your pace. Over time, we’ll work together to deepen self-understanding, shift patterns, and help you feel more grounded, empowered, and connected.
You don’t have to have it all figured out to begin. Just showing up is the first brave step.
